About Us

SofThings s.r.l. is an innovative startup and spin-off company of the University of Salento born from the desire of a group of professionals to convert their scientific results into commercial services. SofThings is composed of highly qualified engineers and researchers targeting technological excellence to overcome the constraints and limits of existing solutions. The innovative solutions developed by SofThings come from the research performed within the IDALab (IDentification Automation Laboratory, Department of Innovation Engineering, University of Salento). These services cover heterogeneous application scenarios such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, agrofood, smart mobility, tourism and Smart Cities. In particular, the “core business” is the development and sale of innovative services focused in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) sector.

The company structure consists of six engineers, one researcher, one associate professor, one business consulting firm, and the University of Salento which qualifies the company as an academic spin-off.
